Every year, Europeans put their clocks back one hour at the end of October. Then, at the end of March, they change the time again. They put the clocks forward an hour. Many people think this is stupid. They would like the same time all year. So why do we do it? Out of habit? To save energy? To prevent car accidents in the dark mornings? Nobody really knows today.
Twice a year, Europeans complain about these changes. Others say they like them. But they never do anything.
There are two different time zones in Europe. Britain and Portugal are always one hour behind the rest of Europe. For example, when it is eight o’clock in Britain, it is nine o’clock in the rest of Europe.
